Parish Partnership

In 2016, St. Rita of Cascia Parish was merged with Annunciation BVM, and St. Nicholas of Tolentine entered into a partnership with the newly formed combined parish. In Parish Partnerships, churches are connected in many areas of administration and in pastoral leadership. At the same time they remain canonically and financially independent parishes. The partnering of these neighboring South Philadelphia communities has strengthened the Catholic presence in the area and assures their continued vitality and sustainability. The Augustinian friars are committed to serving this sizable section of the city and all the faithful who participate at the Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia, Annunciation BVM, and St. Nicholas of Tolentine.
