Aid for Friends Prepared food or funds to buy food for the poor of the parish. Food is cooked and put into church supplied containers and frozen by parishioners and kept in freezers for distribution to the poor.
Altar Servers St. Nicholas School girls and boys from the 4th grade to high school are trained for weekend Masses, Holy Day Masses, Weddings and Funerals.

Children's Liturgy of the Word Sunday - 11:00 AM Children from the 1st to 4th grades of Catholic and Public Schools are dismissed from Sunday Mass, with a special blessing, after the opening prayer. They are taken to the lower church to hear the Liturgy of the Word (two readings and the Gospel) read and explained in language that they can understand. Leader:

First Friday Devotions After morning masses. Special prayers are said after each mass on the First Friday of the month.
Food Cupboard Non-perishable food is donated by the parishioners and distributed to the needy.
Golden Age Club Mondays at 9:30 AM at St. Nicholas Hall. A vibrant gathering of the parish's Senior Citizens enjoying trips, games, parties and fund raisers. President: Jennie Panvini
Home & School Association A support system of St. Nicholas of Tolentine School. An active group of parents, teachers and Principal. The Home & School Association (HSA) is responsible for work in conjunction with Pastor and Principal to enhance programs in school and for fund raisers, such as Marathons, Chocolate Drives, Parties, Dances, Casino Trips and other trips. All for the benefit of the school.

Nursing Home Greetings Committee Greeting cards are sent to our parishioners, who have moved from their own homes into nursing care facilities, letting them know that the church is thinking of them. Committee Chief: Anthony Budwin, Sr.
Parish Newsletter A quarterly Newsletter distributed to each house in the parish with news that is not contained in the Sunday Bulletin. Our Church volunteers distribute the four page Newsletter.
Parish Pastoral Council Members are both voted for by the parishioners and appointed by the pastor. Members are a consultative body which advises and assists the pastor in areas of pastoral concern. Chairman - Rev. Nicholas Martorano, O.S.A.
Pre-Baptismal Instructions Thursday before Baptism Sunday at 7:30 PM. Instructions for the parents and Godparents of the child regarding the importance of the Sacrament of Baptism.
Post Baptismal Journey Program A program that consists of delivering seven sets of parent letters and materials designed to help parents of newly baptized babies. The packages, starting right after Baptism, are delivered at six month intervals through the child's third birthday. Sodality of Blessed Virgin Mary An organization that gives honor to our Blessed Mother through prayers, song and good works. Services every Monday 12 Noon. Communion Sunday: 3rd Sunday of the Month.
